Lisa Rose Snow

Lisa Rose Snow is a Canadian Screen Award winning director and Canadian Screen Award nominated writer interested in timeless stories that smash stereotypes, celebrate the underdog, and have strong visual style.
At the 2023 CSAs, she won the Best Director award for the ground-breaking movie, “Under the Christmas Tree”, which was also nominated for Best TV Movie as well as a GLAAD Media Award. She was nominated at the CSAs for Best Writer for her episode of “Detention Adventure”, which took home the award for Best Youth Series. In 2023 she also won the Directors Guild of Canada Outstanding Director Award for her work on "Odd Squad: Mobile Unit", a previous Daytime Emmy Winning production.
Recent directing credits include the Netflix original “I Woke Up A Vampire”, sci-fi short "Fern", and comedy “Overlord and the Underwoods”. Her original films have shown on 4 continents in over sixty festivals and her episodic work has aired on Netflix, Lifetime, Amazon Prime, BBC, CBC, and HBO Max.
LRS is also a prolific writer, and her next film, a queer rom-com, is set to air on the CW Network in 2025. She has multiple original series in development, including a co-production between Sphere Media and Red Monk, a teen series with Tommy Lynch Co, a limited series book adaptation with Balzac Productions, and a primetime comedy with By Coastal Productions.
Influenced by her years as a writer and actor, LRS’s approach to directing is a balance of prep and intuition. She’s known for being great with actors, her ability to convey heart-punch comedy, and creating a positive and compassionate set experience where everyone feels inspired to create. She’s also experienced with VFX.
LRS gives back to her community serving as the Directors’ Caucus Rep for DGC Ontario.
She definietly believes in magic.
