Diana Dai

Diana is a multiple award–winning independent filmmaker, recognized with honors such as the Canadian Screen Award (Gemini), the Platinum Remi Award at WorldFest–Houston, the Golden Sheaf Award, and Best Canadian Feature Screenplay at the Female Eye Film Festival.

She has directed, written, and produced films for major broadcasters and institutions including CBC, TVO, the Documentary Channel, Bell Media, and various arts councils. Her work has screened internationally and is held in the collections of leading universities and libraries worldwide.

Diana was one of the founding producers of the Mandarin-language program at OMNI Television, where she also worked as a producer and on-air host. She has taught Film and Video Production at Ontario Tech University.

She holds a Master’s degree in Communication Studies from the University of Leeds (UK) and has received professional training at the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts and at Warner Bros. Studios.
