François Gingras
Quebec
François Gingras is a highly regarded Quebec director known for his contributions to television and advertising. A graduate in film production from Concordia University, he began his career as a first assistant director at the National Film Board of Canada before transitioning to directing commercials for major brands like Bell, Desjardins, and Hyundai.
Over the past two decades, François has played a key role in shaping Quebec’s television landscape. He directed 35 episodes of the cult series Fortier, winning multiple Gémeaux Awards. His work also includes Casino, Les sœurs Elliot, Trauma (50 episodes), Victor Lessard, Béliveau, and the youth series Big Top Academy, in collaboration with Cirque du Soleil.
Known for his strong storytelling skills and keen eye for actors' performances, François balances his directing career with mentoring.
