Jason Lapeyre is a director and screenwriter working in both features and television. His first feature, COLD BLOODED, won Best Canadian Film at Fantasia, and his second feature, I DECLARE WAR, played TIFF, won the Audience Award at Fantastic Fest, and was released theatrically by Drafthouse Films. His first television project, the digital series WARIGAMI, premiered at Canneseries. He directed on Eli Roth’s horror anthology URBAN LEGEND for Discovery+ in 2022. Most recently he produced and directed two true-crime hybrid documentaries: THE TEXAS CHEERLEADER MURDER PLOT for Warner Bros. Discovery, streaming on MAX, and MONKEY ON A STICK, about the rise and fall of the Hare Krishna movement in the West, released theatrically in Canada by Sphere Films and streaming on AMC+ and Sundance NOW in the US.
