Warner Bros., Showtime, HBO, Netflix, Hulu, Starz, Lifetime, PBS, CBC, Bravo!, and many others have distributed his narrative and documentary work. Awards and acclaim include premiering at the Toronto International Film Festival, winning Best Director and Best Feature Film at the L.A. Comedy Film Festival, and a Best Program nomination at the Canadian Screen Awards. He is a Canada/US dual citizen.
