Kevin Eastwood

Kevin is a Canadian Screen Award-nominated Director and Gemini Award-winning producer. Most recently he wrote and directed BRITISH COLUMBIA: AN UNTOLD HISTORY, a four-part documentary series for Screen Siren Pictures and Knowledge Network that retells the history of "British Columbia" from a more diverse and inclusive perspective. Previous credits include writing and directing HUMBOLDT: THE NEW SEASON for CBC Television (CSA Nominee for Best Documentary Program); writing and directing AFTER THE SIRENS (CSA, Yorkton, and Leo nominee for Best Documentary, and Leo nominee for Best Direction); and writing and directing THE DEATH DEBATE (CSA nominee for Best Direction). Kevin is probably best known, however, for being the Series Director of EMERGENCY ROOM: LIFE + DEATH AT VGH, a critically-acclaimed doc-series that was nominated for Best Direction and Best Documentary Series at the CSAs and won Best Documentary Series and The People's Choice Award for Favourite TV Series at the Leo Awards. Kevin also directed the second unit for all 20 episodes of the CBC drama series THE ROMEO SECTION (on which he was also one of the producers) and the music video for POST-WAR BLUES by Dan Mangan, starring Donn McKellar and Tom Butler. His other producer credits include the movies PREGGOLAND starring James Caan and Danny Trejo, FIDO starring Billy Connolly and Carrie-Anne Moss, THE DELICATE ART OF PARKING starring Fred Ewanuick and Nancy Robertson, and the Gemini Award-winning CTV movie, ELIJAH, starring Billy Merasty, Glenn Gould, and Lorne Cardinal.
