Ngardy Conteh George is an award-winning filmmaker committed to working with underrepresented communities, especially those that represent the rich cultures and complexities of the African Diaspora. Her films include TV hour MR. JANE AND FINCH (CBC) which won two Canadian Screen Awards (the Donald Brittain Award for Best Social/Political Documentary and Best Writing for a Documentary) and award-winning Sundance Documentary Film Fund supported feature-length documentary THE FLYING STARS (Best Documentary – BronzeLens Film Festival, 2015). She has been a Sundance Institute Program Fellow, and supported by the Toronto and Ontario Art Councils and Canada Council for the Arts. Ngardy is the co-founder of OYA Media Group, a Black women-led production company in Toronto.
