Sarah Wayne Callies

Director, writer, and actor Sarah Wayne Callies most recently returned to direct on the fourth season of the CBS hit FIRE COUNTRY—a show she’s directed on from its first season—and will next direct two episodes of its spinoff, SHERIFF COUNTRY.
Sarah transitioned into directing in 2017, first helming an episode of USA's COLONY, which she also starred in as a series lead. Her directing credits include NBC’s THE IRRATIONAL, three episodes of ABC’s hit series THE GOOD DOCTOR, two episodes of the Netflix hit drama FIREFLY LANE, an episode of the Sundance limited series UNSPEAKABLE, and an episode of FAMILY LAW.
On the acting side, Sarah starred in the ABC drama series THE COMPANY YOU KEEP and the NBC drama series COUNCIL OF DADS. Sarah also starred in the USA series COLONY, AMC’s mega hit THE WALKING DEAD, and FOX’s PRISON BREAK.
As a writer, Sarah has penned a feature she will direct, produced by Todd Berger, entitled GHOST COUNTRY. Her animated feature ELENA’S SERENADE is being produced by Anima Studios. Sarah’s original scripted podcast, AFTERSHOCK, has had two successful seasons, first premiering on iHeart. AFTERSHOCK’s first season was #1 on Apple Charts throughout its full run, and season two hit #1 in two dozen countries worldwide. Additionally, Sarah founded a podcasting production company, CALIBER STUDIO.
