Tate Young writes and directs genre features, digital series, dramatic short films and documentaries.
Recently, his short films HYPERNOVA, TIMEBOX and BONECRUSHER have won multiple awards and played dozens of international film festivals.Tate directed & picture edited the sci-fi digital series HAPHEAD, the sci-fi feature GHOSTS WITH SHIT JOBS, and docs like the super-viral HOW INK IS MADE.
He was picture editor on the CSA-winning series 16X9 (GlobalTV) for several seasons, and directed doc series for Maclean’s, Sportsnet, CityTV and BRAVO. His hour-long documentary THE MUSIC OF MADNESS was released widely to VOD in Fall 2021.
Tate is currently writing and developing features and TV series.
