For more than 30 years, Teresa MacInnes’ films have tackled some of the most crucial social justice issues of our time. She has been the creative force behind twenty social issue and human-interest documentaries including TREK OF THE TITANS (Nature of Things), NORM (CBC The Lens), GENERATION XXL (CBC Doc Zone), TEACHING PEACE IN A TIME OF WAR (CTV), and WAGING PEACE: A YEAR IN THE LIFE OF CALEDONIA JUNIOR HIGH (CTV). In 2014, her documentary BUYING SEX was named one of the top ten feminist films streaming on Netflix by MS Magazine and her short film, MABEL, won the prestigious 2017 Banff Rockie Award for Best Social/Political Documentary. Her last feature collaboration, CONVICTION, had a successful festival run before airing on the Documentary Channel last year. Her latest nature film, SEALS OF SABLE, recently aired on CBC’s Nature of Things and Arte France, and Germany.
