Tom MacLeod

A Toronto-based Director, Cinematographer and Editor.
His life in documentary began in the early 2000’s, focusing mainly on skateboard and music culture. After graduating from the Motion Picture Program at Capilano University in North Vancouver, he turned his sights towards the world of bicycle messengers, and in 2012 he released his award winning first feature-length documentary, Murder Of Couriers (available on Amazon Prime Video).

Soon after the films release, Tom relocated to Toronto and quickly began working with well known Canadian musical acts such as Walk Off The Earth, Scott Helman, Tim Hicks, Brett Kissel and others. He spent many years working with Walk Off The Earth on projects throughout North America and Europe, documenting their rise to fame through a wide series of short films and music videos.

Tom has also directed numerous commercial projects for brands such as Microsoft, Ford, Lincoln Motors, TD, Starbucks, Pizza Hut and many others.

In recent years Tom has directed his skills towards helping Non-Profits such as War Child and Oxfam, telling their stories and addressing issues affecting people around the world.

After over two decades working in documentary and commercial, he is hoping to break into the television and streaming realm, specifically unscripted and docu-series.

He is currently without representation.
