Chester Sit
British Columbia
Chester loves to tell stories, but particularly stories with meaning and purpose, which teach us lessons that can help make our world a little bit better. As a visible-minority anda child of immigrants, Chester has a unique perspective on the world around him, and is sensitive to stories that explore the experiences of oppressed and marginalized people. This sensitivity informs his work, but Chester also knows that stories must be as compelling and entertaining as possible, and thus cannot be ignored. Chester loves to explore uncharted territory with his directing. His work includes many firsts, such as "The Quon Dynasty", a national primetime television series that showcased a Chinese-Canadian family for the first time ever, "The Shift" which was a documentary about the first Chinese-Canadian to ever play in the NHL, and “The Pharmacist/Le Pharmacien” which was the first feature film shot with the 4K RED Camera on the Prairies. Whenever he isn't working, Chester tries to be on the ice as much as possible.
