Justin Wu
Ontario
After living nearly a decade between Paris and New York, Justin Wu has returned and he is now a Toronto-based TV & Film Director. Formerly, Justin trained as a photojournalist and he later evolved into a multidisciplinary artist with a keen interest in sharp storytelling. Over the past decade, Justin's work varies greatly from directing serialized television to tv commercials, gallery art installations, and international fashion editorials. He has a knack for visuals, efficient storytelling, and a passion for directing television and film. In 2021, Justin was nominated for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in a Comedy Series by the Director’s Guild of Canada for his episode on Kim’s Convenience. This past year, Justin successfully directed a one-hour serialized and stylized series, Reginald the Vampire on Syfy, and he is presently directing a studio feature film that will have a theatrical run this fall. He has interest in continuing to direct in the one-hour and feature space.
