Kirsten Carthew (KC) is a multi-award-winning filmmaker whose work has been lauded at juried festivals and sold worldwide. Recognized for character-driven stories that have garnered distinguished accolades for outstanding lead performances, KC likewise excels in bringing forth spectacular world-building and cultivating innovation in her visual storytelling.

KC is a member of the Director’s Guild of Canada and an alumna of the Canadian Film Centre, the National Screen Institute, the London School of Economics, and the University of Southern California. She is a former journalist, published author, and recipient of multiple visionary awards. Beyond the screen, she has been recognized for co-founding a non-profit dedicated to engaging youth in outdoor adventure and environmental stewardship.
