Kylie Hitchcock

Kylie is a director with a focus on narrative film and television. Her films have screened in numerous international film festivals, winning awards for Best Direction, Best Drama and Artist of the Year. In 2023 Kylie began directing her second feature, My Missing Year, a drama set in 1979. Future directing projects include the feature film, Pepper Cherry, a Canadian-Italian co-production and Abeyance, a thriller set in Alberta. In addition to her directing work, Kylie is an experienced 2nd Unit Director and assistant to above-the-line creatives. Kylie is represented by Integral Artists. She is a member of the DGC, Australian Director's Guild and the Australian Writer's Guild. Kylie is an Alumni of the Alberta Producer’s Accelerator Program, the Banff Spark Accelerator Program for Women in the Business of Media. She is a graduate of the UCLA Extension Screenwriting program, the NYU Professional Studies Screenwriting program and holds a M.Ed. From the University of Tasmania. In a former life, Kylie worked internationally as a professional chef and as a culinary instructor at the George Brown Chef School and the City University of New York. An adventurer at heart, her life experiences fuel her storytelling and approach to directing.
