Mark Mainguy

Mark started as an editorial photographer, traveling the world shooting portraits and fashion. He then transitioned to directing TV commercials, working in multiple markets and winning numerous awards internationally. This led to TV work, The Jon Dore Show, Ron James, and a couple of pilots for the CBC. With the reputation as a “problem solver” behind the camera, Mark was asked to direct and cast a Drama/Doc series called “American Lawman”. Eight, one hour episodes chronicling the history of law enforcement from 1880 to 1930 in the United States for Cineflix. Since then, Cineflix has kept him busy directing several series including their award winning series “Mayday”. (Mark just finished his 50th episode) Mark is a Director/DP, and can light and shoot his own projects. He works equally well with small or large crews and his “glass half full” attitude has always put his subjects at ease. His insight, decisiveness, and positivity makes him a favourite of producers and crew alike.
