Writer/Director Sarah Watts' feature film debut, You Can Live Forever (2022) debuted at the Tribeca Film Festival, kicking off a global 50+ festival run that included OutFest, Frameline, Melbourne Queer Film Festival, VIFF and the Palm Springs International Film Festival.
For her work on You Can Live Forever, Watts was nominated (alongside Mark Slutsky) for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in a Feature Film at the 2022 Directors Guild of Canada Awards. Watts was also nominated for the RBC Emerging Canadian Artist Award at CIFF 2022.
She currently has two features in development, one of them co-written and co-directed with Mark Slutsky, with Bunbury Films and Prospector Films, with development funding from Telefilm Canada. She also directs music videos. Most recently, You Get What You Give by Mint Simon.
