In the last 2 years Wendy Ord has directed eight MOWs. All of these movies had limited budgets and very tight shooting schedules yet were very successful on the international market, premiering on Hallmark or Lifetime. Her most recent thriller, Death Spiral, was hailed by the Reel One executives (who make upwards of 120 movies/year) as “the best thriller ever made by ReelOne”.
Wendy wrote, directed and co-produced To The Worlds, which won the 2020 Canadian Screen Award for Best Documentary Program. It was CBC’s highest rated doc of the year & garnered rave reviews. To The Worlds also received 5 LEO Award nominations for Best Documentary Program, Director, Writer, Editor and winning the LEO for Original Score.
Wendy holds the distinction of being the first female 1st Assistant Director in Canada. As such, she’s worked on hundreds of hours of TV series, MOWs, Feature Films, & 3-D IMAX films working across Canada and around the globe.
